Taipei Municipal Da-an Junior High School String Orchestra

 

Da-An Junior High School String Orchestra (DAJHSO) is founded in 2003 which follows its long tradition of music education. The district of Da-An in Taipei city riches in musical education and cultural resources. It has become an outstanding orchestra in Taiwan. For the excellence of performance, it is fully supported by the school board and the parental organization. Within just a few years, DAJHSO has distinguished itself in numerous musical contests and extracurricular activities.
 
DAJHSO won the top award in Junior Class of Taiwan National Student Music Competition in 2009 and thus was invited by the Affiliated High School of Central Music Conservatory in China to co-sponsor a "Cross-Strait Joint Concert".  They also received the Excellent Rating and Honors rating in 2010 and 2011 in Junior Class of Taiwan National Student Music Competition.

As a part of the arts curriculum of a primary education institution, we firmly believe that disseminating the idea of art education and providing students with the environment to access all genres of arts are our social responsibility. As a youth string orchestra in Taiwan, we are seeking more active roles on the global stage and will enrich the function from a group of music enthusiasts to a group of music promoters and messengers. Sharing the beauty and enjoyment of music with people from around the world.

M.F.A. (with an M.Phil-type of thesis) in Conducting, National Taiwan Normal University.
B.A. in Music, Major in Violin, Minor in Piano and Vocal, National Taiwan Normal University.

PERFORMING 2009
July: Invited by the Affiliated High School of Central Music Conservatory (China), Conductor of Daan Junio High Schooll String Orchesta at the “ Cross-Strait Joint Concert”, Concert Hall of the Affiliated High School of Central Music Conservatory (Beijing). July: Conductor of Taipei Century Symphony Orchestra at the “Highlights of Germany & France” Concert, National Concert Hall. Repertoire: L. v. Beethoven’s Leonore Overture No.3, J. Klengel: Concerto for 2 cellos and orchesta in e-minor op.45.

AWARDS
2010 March: Conductor of Taipei Municipal Da-an Junior High School String Orchestra, and Won the 2nd Prize (Excellent Rating) in Junior Class of Taiwan National Student Music Competition.
2009 March: Conductor of Taipei Municipal Da-an Junior High School String Orchestra, and Won the 1st Prize (Excellent Rating )in Junior Class of Taiwan National Student Music
