Andromeda Olomouc

The Andromeda Olomouc Youth Choir has been active since 1993 under the leadership of Mgr. Hana Vyroubalová and has won numerous awards at home and abroad during its existence. In December 2024, the choir achieved historic success – overall victory in the Grand Prix at the International Festival of Advent and Christmas Music with the Petr Eben Award in Prague. In 2025, it won the A3 category (youth choirs under 21) at the Olomouc Song Festival, advancing to the competition for the overall winner of the festival, and in 2025 it became the overall winner of the Praga Cantat international festival. In more than thirty years of activity, the choir has undertaken numerous concerts, training camps, and foreign tours—most recently in July 2025, when the choir completed a successful concert tour in Mexico. The children regularly perform with the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moravian Theater Olomouc, and with renowned soloists.

Hana Vyroubalová

Conductor

Hana Vyroubalová studied at the Department of Education of the Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic, specializing in elementary school education and music theory. She has been an active choir singer herself most of her life, starting in a local concert choir Campanella at 5 years of age. During her college studies, she founded her very own choir, basing on participative and inclusive approaches, which were quite new in music education at that time. In 1993 she established the flagship organization BoDo centrum z.s. with several choirs functioning under it. This year, the main choir celebrated 33 years since its foundation. Now there are 6 choirs in total, encompassing children from 3 years to 18 years of age. Hana Vyroubalová is currently the conductor of 3 choirs- Music BoDo (children from 7 to 10 years), Andromeda (youth from 10 to 22 years) and Kassiopea (adult women). She established a cooperation with the Moravian theatre Olomouc.
