ENSEMBLES 2026

Brisbane Girls Grammar School Philharmonic Orchestra

Brisbane Girls Grammar School Philharmonic Orchestra

The Brisbane Girls Grammar School Philharmonic Orchestra brings together accomplished young instrumentalists selected to represent the School at the 2026 Cumma Sum Laude International Youth Music Festival in Vienna. This ensemble showcases the depth and energy of the School’s instrumental music program, uniting musicians who are eager to extend their craft on a global stage. Across the instrumental music program, students aged 11 to 18 participate in a rich ecosystem of orchestral, band, and chamber ensembles. The learning environment emphasises technical skill, ensemble awareness, and artistic maturity, while also nurturing qualities such as discipline, collaboration, and confidence. Students are encouraged to explore a wide repertoire, embrace new challenges, and contribute to performances that highlight both their individual development and the ensemble’s shared artistic achievement. The Philharmonic Orchestra reflects these values in action. Its members are curious, committed, and proud to share their music with international audiences—carrying with them the School’s tradition of musical excellence and the joy of performing together.
