Shanghai Nanyang Model High School Orchestra

 

Founded in August 1992, the orchestra is under the Lifetime Artistic Directorship of Mr. Cao Peng, a renowned Chinese conductor, and receives rigorous training from professional instructors at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. Through years of dedicated rehearsals and performance practice, the ensemble has developed masterful coordination, a vibrant and youthful playing style, and quasi-professional standards. It has consecutively won First Prizes at the 1st to 6th National Art Festivals for Primary and Secondary Schools, Gold Medals at the 15th and 26th Sydney International Music Festivals in Australia, and the Grand Prix Gold Medal (First Place) at the 35th Vienna International Youth Music Festival in Austria.

Graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Currently serves as a First-Class Conductor at the Shanghai Opera House. He also holds the position of President of the Shanghai Wind Band Conducting Research Association.
