ENSEMBLES 2025

Chingshin Academy Symphony Orchestra

Chingshin Academy Symphony Orchestra

The Chingshin Academy Symphony Orchestra was established in 2006. Since its debut in the Taipei City Music Competition that same year, the wind ensemble, string orchestra, and symphony orchestra have consistently achieved top honors in major music competitions, earning widespread recognition for their outstanding performances. In August 2015, following the appointment of the school’s fifth principal, Mr. Tang Shang-Chih, the Music Center was established with the support of the Board of Directors. The center designs professional music programs with a solid curriculum, a distinguished faculty, and rigorous ensemble training. Coupled with well-planned facilities and a strong support system from parents, the Chingshin Orchestra has continued to flourish. Over the years, the orchestra has developed into an ensemble known for its refined musicality and well-disciplined students. The string orchestra has twice been selected as the featured ensemble for the National Music Competition’s Top Honor Concert, performing at Weiwuying in 2023 and at the National Concert Hall in Taipei in 2025. The students' performances have been highly praised. The Chingshin Orchestra also actively encourages students to use their musical talents for charitable activities. In 2023, they collaborated with the Taiwan Kennan Autism Foundation, and in 2025, they will partner with the Taiwan Foundation for Rare Disorders. Through music, students engage closely with members of these organizations, learning to express love and compassion. These charity concerts are not just performances but meaningful dialogues with life. Every summer, the orchestra organizes international music exchange programs, with past visits to Italy, France, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, and Beijing. In 2024, the orchestra won the Special Honor Gold Award in both the string and symphony orchestra categories at the Raffles International Music Competition in Singapore. By actively participating in domestic and international exchange performances, the Chingshin Orchestra cultivates musicians with diverse skills and a global perspective.
