Orquesta Filarmonía de Sevilla

Filarmonía de Sevilla Orchestra is a musical organization whose goals are the dissemination of symphonic and choral music and the promotion of young talent. Its artistic director is Francisco Javier Torres Simón. The OFS has performed major works such as Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, and Manuel de Falla's El Amor Brujo, in addition to its own productions such as Francisco Javier Torres Simón's La Procesión and Jerome Ireland's Flamenco Sinfónico. The Filarmonía de Sevilla Orchestra has performed in such iconic venues as the Seville Conference Center (FIBES), the Manuel de Falla Theater in Cádiz, the Cartuja Center in Seville, the Casa Colón Auditorium in Huelva, the Revellín Theater in Ceuta, and the National Auditorium in Madrid. In 2024, the Filarmonía de Sevilla Orchestra released its first recorded production, entitled "Renovatio," with a selection of its best concert performances. In 2025, it won the UK International Music Competition award in the category of Best Symphony Orchestra.
Francisco Javier Torres Simón
Conductor
Francisco Javier Torres Simón is a composer and conductor from Seville, Spain. He has a degree in music from the well known Berklee College of Music in Boston (USA) and a PhD in Communication from the University of Seville where he works as a full-time Professor. Currently, he is the resident conductor of the Orquesta Filarmonía de Sevilla and the president of the Association of Andalusian Symphonic Composers (ACSA).
