ENSEMBLES 2025

Camberwell Grammar School Choir

Camberwell Grammar School Choir

Singing is a core part of life at Camberwell Grammar School. Our regular SATB school choir of around 250 students performs twice each year at our major school concerts and every 2 years, we take the whole school to Hamer Hall in Melbourne and feature the whole school singing as a massed choir of over 1000 students. We perform a large variety of music including contemporary Australian music, Musical Theatre classics as well as our core traditional choral works with orchestra. This year, we are rehearsing Verdi's Requiem and are very much looking forward to the challenge of this work. Our unofficial school song is "Anthem" from the Musical "Chess" and we often sing this at sporting matches, on bus rides to excursions, and at many school or social events. The students voted overwhelmingly for us to finish our program with this piece for our inaugural SCL tour.
