Taipei Fuhsing Private School String Orchestra is a high reputation organization where cultivates many excellent young music talents in Taiwan. In order to inspire students’ enthusiasm and potential toward music, Fuhsing String Orchestra established “Art and Humanity Center” in 2007 spring. The core values of the center are “responsibility, respect, gratitude, and creativity.” Students learn solid music knowledge and enhanced performance skills in this environment and develop wonderful ability of art appreciation to enrich live and soul. Fuhsing String Orchestra is organized by High School group and Elementary School group. High School group is formed by teenagers and Elementary School group by the 3rd to 6th graders. Students perform in various formal events and attend official competitions in Taiwan. With the abundant performance experiences, Fuhsing String Orchestra has a lot of followers in Taiwan and its performances always get fabulous feedback by the fans. Under the leadership of Taiwan’s famous conductor, Mr. Cheng-Te Yeh, Fuhsing String Orchestra successfully wan the top 1 award in the music competition held by Taipei Education Bureau in 2022. Mr. Yeh is the assistant conductor in Taiwan National Symphony Orchestra and also one of the most popular young musicians in Taiwan’s music scene. Award List of Taipei Fuhsing Private School String Orchestra: - 2014: Fuhsing String Orchestra performed in Tokyo Disneyland and Specialized Music Box Museum in Japan - 2015: Fuhsing String Orchestra performed in Los Angeles Disneyland and Westmont College in US. - 2016: Won the 2nd Place in the category String Orchestra with outstanding success in 10th Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival (Vienna, Austria)

Conductor

Tony Cheng-Te Yeh has been the conductor assistant of National Symphony Orchestra (Taiwan Philharmonic) since 2022 under the music director Mo. Jun Märkl. In 2019 to 2022 he serves as the assistant conductor of National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra under the music director Mo. Lan Shui. As one of the most active conductors among the younger generation, Yeh not only conducted orchestral works, but also served as a much sought-after conductor for the premieres of many contemporary works. He also participated and cooperated on projects of popular music, theatre productions, dance and traditional Taiwanese folk song. In 2019 and 2021, he was appointed the conductor for the Gala concerts of National day. A highlight of Yeh’s early age with a Master of Music under Maestro Aurélien Azan Zielinski was at Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne in 2017. He also obtained his Artist Diploma in Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris under Dominique Rouits and Julien Masmondet. He was the first person to receive the highest honor “A l’unanimité et avec les félicitation du Jury” for two consecutive years, and also obtained the diploma in the least time in the past 32 years. Yeh has performed widely and participated in many events and festivals such as a full-scholarship in Gstaad Menuhin Festival under Need Järvi, and Gennady Rozhdestvensky. He also collaborated with the famous Oboist family Ottensamer, Cellist Sol Gabetta, Violinist Yu-Chein Tseng during the festival. In 2014, Cheng-Te participated in Järvi Winter Academy. In the same year, he was invited again to participate in Järvi summer Academy by Maestro Grin where he performed several concerts in Estonia. He has worked with the world’s leading conductors and orchestras such as Neeme Järvi, Pavvo Järvi, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Leonid Grin, Claire Gibault, Aurélien Azan Zielinski.
