Beijing Haidian District Experimental Primary School

Beijing Haidian District Experimental Primary School Orchestra Band was set up in April 1999. Mr. Li Meizhou is the Art Director, who is the Conductor at the national level and Mr. Zou Xiaolong is our guest conductor, who is the professor of Central Conservatory of Music. Now our Band consist of 420 students, and separated into 3 bands.

Zou Xiaolong

Conductor

Mr. Zou graduated from the Conductor Department of Central Conservatory of Music Beijing China. He studied in Germany at the Hochschule fuer Musik und Theater Hamburg & Musikhochschule Stuttgart in 1990 and received his Master Degree at Staatliche Hochschule fuer Musik Freiburg im Breisgau in 1995.
From 1995 to 1999 he studied in the USA as a Visiting Scholar at University of Hartford Hartford Music College and achieved an Art Certificate of DMA Degree, then studied at USA Yale University Yale School of Music in the same year.
He returned to China in 2000 and was appointed to Conductor of Central Opera House, Guest Conductor of Central Nationalities Orchestra, Art Director of Qinghai Province Orchestra, the Professions Committee of Student Art Group of Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, Jury of Beijing Art Festival & Competition for University & Middle Schools.
Also he was invited as the conductor and art director for the Youth Orchestra of Remin University of China, the Student Orchestra of Beijing University of Technology, the Golden Sail Orchestra of Beijing Ritan Middle School, and the Beijing Haidian District Experimental Primary School Orchestra Band. He is Professor at the Conductor Department of Central Conservatory of Music Beijing China from 2000 to 2007.
