ENSEMBLES 2019

St. Paul´s Secondary School Symphony Orchestra

St. Paul´s Secondary School Symphony Orchestra

St. Paul’s Secondary School (SPSS) is a girls’ school in Hong Kong. The SPSS Orchestra was founded in 2005 to provide ensemble training for young musicians aged 12 to 17. The Orchestra enhances students’ interest in and reception of orchestral music, bettering their musicianship, as well as building members’ self-confidence. Since its establishment, the Orchestra has actively participated in various Hong Kong competitions. Under the leadership of conductor, Mr. Tse Luen Wah, we have achieved consistent successes including Second Place in Hong Kong Schools Music Festival and the Gold Award in the Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows. Besides participating in various competitions, our members seize all opportunities to showcase their talents and achievements. Each year, members of the Orchestra perform in school annual concerts and on open days. The Orchestra’s highlight of 2018 was performing at the St. Paul’s Hospital 120th Anniversary Celebration Dinner at the Hong Kong Convention Centre. We will continue to build on our achievements aspiring to distinction.
